FAQ

What audio formats are supported?

The tool accepts MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, M4A, and FLAC input files. The output is always high-quality MP3 (192 kbps) for maximum compatibility across devices.

Is my audio uploaded to a server?

Absolutely not. All processing happens inside your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device.

What is the maximum fade duration?

You can set fade in or fade out up to 30 seconds each. Both are optional — set either to 0 to skip it. Make sure the combined fade durations don't exceed the total audio length.

Does the tool change audio quality?

The output is re-encoded to MP3 at 192 kbps. For most listening purposes this is excellent quality. If you need lossless output consider using a dedicated DAW after using this tool to prepare your fade times.

Why does processing take a moment?

The first time you process a file, FFmpeg.wasm (~25 MB) needs to load in your browser. Subsequent processes in the same session are much faster. Closing other tabs can speed things up.
