Frequently Asked Questions
Which browsers support screen recording?
Chrome 72+, Edge 79+, and Firefox 52+ support the Screen Capture API. Safari has limited support. Mobile browsers generally do not support screen capture.
What video format does it record in?
Recordings are saved as WebM files, the standard format for browser-based recording. You can convert to MP4 using our Video Converter tool.
Is there a time limit for recordings?
No time limit. Recording continues until you click 'Stop & Save'. Long recordings will create large files limited by your available disk space.
Can I record internal system audio?
Yes. When sharing your screen, check 'Share audio' in the browser dialog to capture system sounds. Works best in Chrome and Edge.
Are my recordings uploaded anywhere?
No. All recording happens in your browser and files are saved directly to your device. No data is ever sent to any server.
