FAQ

What subtitle formats are supported?
This tool supports SRT (SubRip), VTT (WebVTT), and ASS/SSA (Advanced SubStation Alpha) for both input and output.
Why convert SRT to VTT?
VTT is the native format for HTML5 video. Browsers need VTT for the <track> element, so you need to convert SRT to VTT for web use.
Are my subtitle files uploaded to a server?
No. All conversion and preview happens entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
Can I preview subtitles on my own video?
Yes! After converting to VTT, load your video file. The subtitles will be automatically applied to the HTML5 video player.
